To swivel on leather

As always never a straight fit.

All Done

Let there be light

 Inside drivers side

Tape up so I can see the line more easy.

Centre  lines then check corner to corner make sure its square the hole 1105 X 455

Frame with Sika 221 on ready to clamp in place.

Clamped in place. View from inside.

View from outside.

Heavy bead of Sika 221 all around the frame as per the destructions.

Now to the sliding door. same principles.

One big difference the inside frame does not have the clearance the first one did. Plus the rib was a bit harder to remove.

The frame this side had to be shaped as it was a v tight fit the 110 x 450 window.

Plenty of sanding offing up and more sanding.

Four holes so I can check from the outside if square.

Tape up not to scratch the paint.

Jig saw out

Touch up bare metal keep old tin worm away.

Frame clamped

A real tight fit but its in.

Now for some Roof Fans

One here I think

Lets make the frames, 38 mm will end up the correct level for the head lining.

Looking on Utube some people had a hole of 355 x 355 but after looking at the flange for this model 500KI40 it needed to be 400 x 400 so  I measured and measured until I was certain.

Some masking tape so I don't scratch the lid.

A old bag to catch the steel bits.

Dam ribs are a pain you have to make up 4 layers with the mastic tape then one band all over the top.

That's the rear one done, I wish I had done the front one first. Much easier as the roof has a handy square with no ribs which just takes 400 x 400.

And one the other end (Front) O and here comes the rain.

pre drill the holes

This time with lessons learned put the mastic tape on the lid then some black Sika flec 211.

A long thin screw in opposite corners just to line up and boom spot on.

Put all the supplies stainless screws in and slowly torq down evenly to get Sika fec oozing out.

Getting  the 2 screws in each side is a bit of a pain as you cant push don too much but you do need to push enough to get the holes to line up.
